Hello!  My name is Monica Reay.  I have a degree from the University of Oregon.  I began working in education in 2006.  I got my foot in the door by working at an after school program, and then was hired part time at the school for supervision duties.  I soon added Office work, and Kindergarten Assistant to that workload.  Then Title 1 assistant.  I have worked with 7 different Kindergarten Teachers since I started!!  I took 2 years off when I had my son in 2012, then went back to work again part time.  After a couple of years, I was ready to work a full day, but the school I was at was not offering full day work for Kindergarten EAs.  I found a new school to work at that did hire me as a full day Kinder EA in 2016.  I have been working there since, and love the community there!
