Posters and booklet about the Seven Summits which could be used during 'The Mountain Environment' topic. Stick posters around the room and ask children to move around the room to read the posters and then complete the booklet. For differentiation; some pages/questions could be removed from the booklet or the teacher could accompany an individual/group.
What a great way to get my class working - they all expected it to be handed to them on a plate. Not anymore though. Hopefully this will get them right into the topic and my observation will go well! Thanks again.
Printed this out and made up a pack for each group as classroom very small and no room for moving around. Children really enjoyed working through everything. Thanks!
