About This Lesson

Children discuss the recycling of useful parts of domestic waste. An investigation looks at the properties of plastic, metals and cardboard to devise a method for their separation from mixed waste. A literacy activity can be used to describe the life of a recycled aluminum can. Curriculum links Science: science investigations; materials and their properties. Literacy: extended writing.
