About This Lesson

These booklets help students remember; and parents understand; how to calculate. They show ways of recording calculations that are based on understanding; never on processes.

An excellent resource which, as the description states, can be shared with parents too so they understand the way math and calculations are taught in school so that children aren't overloaded with techniques to reach answers. Thank you for sharing.

A nice idea, doesn't quite follow the strategies set out in the framework, relying a lot on numberlines but has some good ideas to 'borrow'. Thanks for sharing.

A fantastic resource with some great ideas. Would have loved to have seen chunking as well as those in my class with a strong understanding of their multiplication facts generally use that.
