About This Lesson

An iboard activity to investigate which larger numbers can be created by combining digits. Choose from options to: include zero; use repeated digits; use 2-6 digits in total. Drag the digits into the three spaces and 'save' to bank on the right. Challenge students to make as many numbers as they can, then put them into size order. Discuss how to be methodical about finding all combinations and looking at place value when ordering by size.

A very useful resource which could be used as a wrap up or introduction to a lesson. This is a powerful resource to teach place value, sequencing and investigations. Thanks.

Students generate 3-digit numbers after setting variables. Interactive and simple to understand and use but can generate higher level thinking.
