About This Lesson
This is a simple exercise consisting of a diagram and 5 questions. It might be used as a starter or as an assessment. Having area and perimeter questions on the same diagram will hopefully expose any confusion between the terms. Pythagoras is required for the last question; I included this as an extension to see what would happen. I have used this and others like it to emphasise the need to use diffferent mathematical tools to solve problems.
