A nice lesson as an introduction to the basic rules of surds, the joke on the first slide is great! Some good consolidation questions are included on the powerpoint. The exam question at the end is a good extension but does require students to be confident with indices and multiplying together two brackets.

Great for introducing multiplying and dividing surds. I LOVE the picture of square roots - can't wait to hear my students groan at that one!
