This was a great short activity for me to do at the end of a unit. It did not take an extended amount of time and was easy to complete. The kids LOVED the mystery concept.

Excellent activity that encompasses not only identifying ordered pairs, but slope of a line, perpendicular lines, y-intercept, and equations of a line. Great fun. Thank you!

Fun Lesson!

Fun Lesson!

I do have a question about the "Where" part of the assignment. If the line y = 2x - 5 is to be graphed, I don't see how any of the coordinates could add up to be 8.5. The slope of the line is 2, so the points would be: (0, -5) (1, -3) (2, -1) (3, 1) (4, 3) (5, 5). How do you figure 8.5?

Thanks!
