About This Lesson
Choose a starting word and place at the bottom of the Rhyme Ladder. Encourage students to think of real and 'nonsense' words which rhyme with the starting one; e.g. 'ladder'; 'sadder'; 'gadder'; 'dadder' etc. By simply replacing the initial sound (phoneme); students will learn that they can make rhyming words.
