About This Lesson

Send the line moving back and forth, dropping the stacked numbers into place. This game practices place value, forcing constant comparisons between numbers and mental tracking of positions on a number line. This is part of a set of TESiboard games. The complete set includes versions that have number lines that step up in tens, units and 1,2,3 and 4 decimal places. One also shows vulgar fractions on the number tiles. All can be set to work with low numbers and high numbers providing further differentiation. Aligned to Common Core Standard: 4.NF.5, Number and Operations: Fractions.

Standards

Express a fraction with denominator 10 as an equivalent fraction with denominator 100, and use this technique to add two fractions with respective denominators 10 and 100.
