A great idea for teaching the topic of averages. Pupils work in groups of 3-6 and have to work out the mean, median, mode and range when dealt a number of cards, and get that as their score. A nice way to finish off a lesson on averages and a great way of getting pupils to work together.

I adapted this a bit to reduce written instructions. Kids loved it. Talked about how to find each one, the difference between them. Supported each other, gained in confidence. It was fab! Thanks :)
