About This Lesson

A student investigation that encourages them to predict events; develop the formula for expected probability; and then use it. This then leads them towards the topic of bias; and creating a bias die (cardboard needed) and interpreting their own results. The activity culminates in relative frequency and asking students to research and then construct a relative frequency diagram.
