This is a handout to test students ability to1) distinguish between elements and compounds2) appreciate chemical formula; show how many atoms of each element there are3) understand how molecules contain bonds; which may be single our double (triple not included)4) recognize molecules from their structure.Includes schematic diagrams (OK - rough sketches) of molecules where atoms have been given different colors - these can be printed in black and white.
