This is a lovely set of investigations on practical patterns. Students have to observe a pattern and explain it in words, they are then asked to express the pattern algebraically by breaking the pattern up in different ways. The resource is well presented, any one of the three investigations would make a nice lesson, students could work in pairs and produce a poster to display their ideas. Thank you for sharing.
