About This Lesson
This can be used as part of a display or copied and cut into sections for an ordering activity. The children have a set of directions for safely crossing the road. They must decide what is a sensible order to do them in. In the past I have borrowed a child's car from the nursery and set up a road so that as the children talk through what order they think is best; we act it out so that we can see what they best order is and also what happens if you miss a step in the order. The children really enjoy this and it is a great way to get them practising crossing the 'road' carefully.
