About This Lesson
In pairs students answer the questions on this handout. The first pair to correctly answer a question are awarded maximum marks; the second pair to correctly answer gain one less mark etc. This means students have incentive to try different questions rather than just start at the beginning of the handout. I had a huge grid set up on the board at the front of the room so that teams could see at a glance how they were doing and which question would be best to answer first. It worked best when support was available to offer help to pairs who were struggling or to help students be strategic.
