About This Lesson

Start the lesson by drawing a set of axes (distance from front of room v time) on the board and ask a pupil to walk steadily from the front to the rear of the room. As they do so; draw a line showing their motion on the axes. Repeat for a pupil walking fast; a pupil pausing halfway etc. Discuss the features. Display the graphs from the ppt and ask students to act them out (or use remote controlled car) before drawing their own graph and telling the story.
