Not one of my Grade 9 math students understood how to rearrange equations. Thank goodness I came across this lesson plan (I still have yet to use it) - I never would have thought to use pictures (I tried replacing a variable-filled question with a simpler problem involving numbers)! Thank you so much!
Nice way to get students to create equivalent expressions using hands-on approach and a matching set of cards.
