Materials used to construct our homes : Ceramics and Composites.L. O : Ceramics are very hard; heat resistant; brittle materials.They are used for plates ; tiles; pylon insulation; bricks and furnace linings.Composites are combinations of materials. Students can give examples e.g MDF; reinforced glass; carbon fibre; glass reinforced plastic ( fibreglass).
