About This Lesson
This was used when discussing why people move to another country. The first activity contains many reasons for people to leave. You will need to discuss what some of them mean before they are sorted into three groups: social; economic and personal (reasons for leaving). Some may come under more than one heading. The second activity was adapted from another website all about immigration. The children have to read about Ammani's situation and decide if she should leave home or not. This activity produced a lot of discussion and debate among the children.
