The Highway Man Story Game

Children can play this game by themselves; in pairs or in groups. The aim is to write a descriptive and individual story. They roll the dice twice to get a co-ordinate e.g (3;4). They then go to that square and look at the picture. They use this picture to help them with the next part of their story. My class have always enjoyed this type of activity and have produced very different stories using the same sheets. I have had to encourage them to be descriptive as possible and use their imaginations to fill in the gaps.
