Probably the World's Oldest Ghost Story

Ghost stories have probably been told since humans first learned how to tell tales. However; this particular story was told by authors from the Ancient World so it can lay claim to being the first ghost story to be written down. It leaves some questions for the children to answer and contains all the ingredients we have come to expect of the ghost/horror story: the haunted house; the restless corpse; the rattling of chains; the beckoning finger. It really goes to show there is nothing new under the sun.
