Students review biochemistry concepts before testing common foods for the presence of proteins, sugars, and lipids. At the end, students are assessed by performing tests on unknown substances in order to identify their contents.

Excellent resource! I plan to use this soon. It would've been even better to get some teacher notes about any recommended "unknown" foods that students have especially good luck with testing, or any pitfalls. I expect my students to want to test things like flaming hot cheetos, takis and other heavily dyed foods. I'm wondering if these might cause problems during the experiment. I guess I'll have to do my own mini experiment!
