About This Lesson
Yelli is a fascinating combination of singing and yodeling. Among the BaAka forest
people of central Africa, women wake up the camp by singing yelli on the morning of a hunt,
to draw animals near. Use this collection as a lesson or choose pieces of it to build your
own lesson or unit. Please comment so I can improve my posts. Aligned to Common Core State Standards: SL.4.5, SL.5.5, SL.6.5
