In this lesson on non-violent activism, students will be able to: describe a non-violent campaign for social, political, or cultural change; compare and contrast campaign that advocates non-violence versus violence; analyze the tactics of non-violent protests; compare the approach of the Irish Republican Army to the U.S. Civil Rights Movement; reflect on the legacy of John Lewis as a leader and advocate for non-violent social change.
