Elementary mathematics Specialist, Karyn Hodgens, shares a fun and creative way to teach and reinforce angles and angle measurement.
This common core mathematics lesson uses simple things like paper plates, rulers, glue, tissue paper, and protractors to have students predict a variety of angle measurements then use the protractor to verify the angles. This is a great problem-solving activity as students work together to determine the exact center of the paper plate. Their communication skills are honed as they share out and justify their solutions.
