About This Lesson
In this power point I use the idea of the Empire State Building in New York City as a way to introduce the idea of a Republic and Empire 'building'. This play on words confused some of the lower skilled students. I adjusted the lesson after my first class. I paired students based on skills and allowed a minute after each slide to have a 'flash reflection'.
