About This Lesson

Overview: In this two-phase Experimental Exercise, students first choose settlement sites in a simulated landscape of ancient Greece to understand the influence of geography on settlement and culture. They can explore ways for their settlements to survive. Afterwards, students read about the early settlement of Greece in their books and make connections with their experiences.

This looks like a fun activity that would engage your students tremendously. This resource does require a bit more development and structure before it can be applied. Thank you for the idea.

I have to agree, this is a very interesting starting point, but definitely needs more development, I will work on this and add more as I integrate it into my classroom.
