About This Lesson
This lesson begins with a challenge video that is designed to motivate students to discover the circumference of a circle. Next students will engage in a vocabulary review of the parts of a circle. Students will make predictions about how many diameters it takes to go around the circumference of a circle and test their predictions by measuring circles during the partner activity. Students will have the opportunity to respond to journal entry questions to reinforce what they learned about the relationship between diameter and circumference. A final assessment is also included.
