About This Lesson
This activity gives students 3 scenarios that James I had to deal with as the new King of both England and Scotland. The scenarios involve unification of the crowns, the Gunpowder Plot, and the divine right theory/neglecting Parliament. It's a good segue from the successes of the Tudor Dynasty into the causes of the English Civil War.
