Studying The Chosen by Chaim Potok.

Issue: The Sins of Our Fathers (Finding Identity Through Revolution)

The Chosen serves as the foundation for the exploration of how fathers influence our lives. The students will research and write a five page biography of a person that directly or indirectly influenced their lives. Further, each student will find song or poem that encapsulates his feelings for an important person in his life with an accompanying one page report on the relevance of this piece of literature to the relationship. Aligned to Common Core State Standard: RL.9-10.10
