About This Lesson

This powerpoint has students evaluate what total war meant, how the blitzkrieg strategies affected Britain, how the USSR affected Berlin, how the US affected Japan, and how Germany's holocaust affected the Jews. Each slide goes with film clips from WWII, The Lost Color Archives (http://www.amazon.com/World-War-II-Color-Archives/dp/0767026977/ref=pd_…) and The Fog of War. The last activity is modified from an activity from the Fog of War Lesson Plan Guide for teachers, where students are acting as the Axis or Allied powers and must rate 12 targets in terms of how justified they are.
