Cuban Missile Crisis Role-Play/Thirteen Days

This activity has students first look at the map provided - the US put nuclear missiles in Turkey in 1962. After answering questions about the Soviet Response, the teacher tells them to flip their map and on the back is the map of Cuba with ranges of the Soviet Missiles they put in Cuba. Then students are given the Simulation sheet where, based on scenes from the film Thirteen Days, they must decide what they would do in situations that Kennedy and Khrushchev had to deal with. Teacher needs extreme accuracy when stopping and starting scenes (the times are listed in the worksheet).
