About This Lesson
*[Edit]: We did this in the first week or so, and the students loved it! I was able to use it with 8th graders and 10th graders without any trouble.* In this activity, students are tasked to help Dr. Moldova at the Far'awai-lan research station figure out what is causing a mysterious illness that is plaguing his team. They are given "samples" and "results" based on the tests of those samples. The goal is to help students understand the process of the scientific method through discovery learning.
