About This Lesson

This lesson uses a jigsaw reading activity to gather information on the factors that contribute to a strong GDP. Students will be asked to complete a matrix that describes the factor and the challenges and advantaged associated with the factor Students will begin in their home groups of 3 and then rotate around the room to gather information on each of the seven factors. Learning Objective: Students will be able to explain 7 factors that contribute to strong GDP and challenges associated with establishing them in developing nations. Aligned to CCSS: RH.6-8.2, WHST.6-8.9
