About This Lesson

Second grade students will connect to their unit of study about communities as they learn printmaking. Start off by observing the community from the school window. Next, students will create a collograph plate in order to print a community. Children will self-assess themselves by creating a rubbing. After the children print their buildings, the buildings will be joined together to form a community.
