About This Lesson
Students will engage with Marshall’s painting Better Homes, Better Gardens by comparing the images in the painting to their own neighborhoods and daily life. A storytelling activity helps students go beyond what they see and engage their own imaginations.Appropriate for Early Childhood Education (Pre-K and younger). To help younger children with this activity and identifying their own answers, consider doing this activity in small groups. ECE-OR, ECE-OR-ex, ECE-OR-sp, ECE-AR, ECE-AR-dr, ECE-AR-so
This lesson and activity is beyond the level of kindergarten and first grade students. Certainly they can act out going to a Tea Party, but the art work is a bit mature for children of ages 3-5. Perhaps this can be used with older students.
