About This Lesson
Students will examine the lives of Buddhist monks in Tibet with an introduction through the Hayagriva Sand Mandala. They will then write letters to “teach” the monks about their lives in the United States.

Letter writing is always a useful skill for students to acquire, especially in this age of technology, where writing is almost obsolete. I would specifically simplify the writing for K-1, but this resource should be expanded through grades 2-5.
