About This Lesson
Students will analyze the Tlingit House Partition with Shakes Family Crest as a historical source to form an understanding of social status and the role of the natural world in Tlingit society. They will then explore their own views on status and nature, as well as those of their culture, and compar More…e them to those of the Tlingit people. The lesson will culminate in students creating their own clan story as in the Tlingit tradition.
