About This Lesson

Students will use language skills to discuss ancestors and the significance of caring for ancestors in Chinese traditions. After familiarizing themselves with the portrait, students will focus on the Chinese tradition of depicting ancestors in their best or formal attire. Finally, students will describe and/or illustrate what they would wear in their own ancestor portrait. Appropriate for Early Childhood Education (Pre-K and younger).
