About This Lesson
This map and timeline shows the many invasions and sacks of Rome between its founding and the actual fall of Rome - it can give students an understanding of both Rome's strength and also its vulnerability being in the center of the Mediterranean.
This timeline would be best used along with a complete lesson as it is expected the person using it has previous knowledge of the content (for example, it does know explain where Gaul was). This is not a tradition horizontal timeline but rather a vertical list.
