About This Lesson

http://www.freemathvideos.com In this video tutorial I will show you how to solve a system of linear equations by using substitution. We like to apply the substitution method when we have a variable that is isolated or has a coefficient of one that can easily be isolated by using inverse operations. We then plug in the expression that the variable equals into the other equation and solve for the variable. Once we have the value of the variable we then plug it into the equation to solve for the other variable.
