About This Lesson

http://www.freemthavideos.com In this video series I will show you how to write an equation of a line parallel or perpendicular to a line through a point using slope intercept form. It is important to understand the relationships of parallel and perpendicular lines slope. From the existing equation we will use the same slope if the lines are parallel and use opposite reciprocal slopes if the lines are perpendicular. We will then plug in the point that the line must go through for x and y to find the value b that is it's y-intercept. Once we know the slope and y-intercept of the equation we can write the equation of the line. http://www.freemathvideos.com
