About This Lesson
http://www.freemathvideos.com In this video series I show you how to solve a system of equations using substitution. To solve a system of equations using elimination we first choose the variable that has a coefficient as one. Sometimes this variable will already be isolated. We then substitute the expression that the variable equals into the other equation for that variable giving us an equation with one variable. We then simplify and solve for the variable. When we have the value of one variable we then plug that value back into one of the original equations to solve for the other variable. I am a math teacher that shows how to solve math problems for the site http://mathhomeworkanswers.org. Each video is designed to be short but offer enough explanation to help the student understand the procedure of the problem. This is my way as a teacher providing free online tutoring to students on the internet. I am not the only teacher doing this. Please visit http://mathhomeworkanswers.org and type in your homework questions. Teachers like me will answer them. I try to set myself apart by creating videos for my examples so that there is little room for confusion. I also provide videos on an arrange of topics that you may search on my YouTube Channel for a quick reteach of a lesson, or to learn how to solve math problems for your math
