About This Lesson

This video segment explains how clouds form. The segment is part of the NASA SCIFiles program, which features the Tree House Detectives, a group of young students who work together to solve everyday problems. In this segment, the detectives visit a scientist who uses a jar, ice cubes and a metal tray to demonstrate how clouds form. The students also learn about the three main types of clouds and the NASA S'COOL project, which involves students from around the world in observing clouds.
