About This Lesson

The Hmong people are experts in textile work that combines embroidery and reverse applique techniques. A Paj NTaub (pronounced Pan-Dow), which means “Flower Cloth", is an example of this beautiful handiwork.There's 8 posters with different symbols often found on Flower Cloths. The posters are on cardstock paper and posted around the room. Students take a clipboard and recording sheet and search for Flower Cloths that match the pictures on their sheet.
