About This Lesson
This is a good math center activity. I ask parents to send in old buttons. Sort out the two and four holed buttons and put in a container. Give each child a recording sheet. Take turns grabbing a small handful of buttons. Child sorts the buttons by number of holes and then records how many of each on the recording sheet. Play until the recording sheet is full.
