About This Lesson
This presentation reviews poetry elements via the holiday poem T'was the Night Before Christmas. Students identify metaphors, similes, imagery, rhyme, and stanzas within the poem. The poem is written one way (via stanzas) on the PowerPoint, and then the line breaks are changed in the text version for students to discuss as a follow up activity.
