About This Lesson

Students will watch the original, animated How the Grinch Stole Christmas and answers physics problems related to the story.  They can also just use the PowerPoint presentation to answer if you do not wish to show the movie. Concepts include: gravity, mass vs. weight, potential and kinetic energies, friction, magnetic force, work, power, unit conversions, velocity, and acceleration. Students will need equations to solve for these: Weight, velocity (including solving for distance and time), GPE, KE, acceleration, work, power, and force.
