About This Lesson

When children are grieving the death of someone close to them, they mourn not only the loss of the person, but also need to adjust to a wide range of secondary losses that follow, such as changes in relationships with those associated with the deceased, schools, finances, lifestyle, and peer group status. This module expands the context of the struggles grieving children face to address their secondary losses as well as incidents of cumulative loss.
